The three primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. The secondary colors are orange, green, and purple. Yellow is at the top because it is the lightest and brightest. I had the hardest time finding purple objects. My favorite object is the blue baseball glove because I love playing baseball and I am really disappointed that our season was taken away this year. The object that stood out the most in Mrs. Underhill's color wheel is the yellow Lysol bottle because it is big and bright.

I chose to do the nature/land art because we live in the woods and we have lots of nature supplies around here. My artwork looks like a miniature version of our firepit at our cabin with a log pile in the background. I made my artwork on my driveway. I used rocks and sticks. My artwork is original because I put the log pile in the background instead of just doing the firepit. The biggest challenge in making my art was getting the sticks in the firepit to stay balanced because it was kind of windy. The thing I liked the best about my artwork is that it looks like it could be full sized. It could just prove a point. For example, someone could make an artwork of all the garbage in the ditch by their house. My original plan for this artwork was to make an Easter egg. My work improved as I worked because as I kept drawing I got more comfortable drawing left-handed. Mrs. Underhill and my mom gave me feedback as I made my artwork. This improved my artwork because my mom suggested putting a face on it which made the whole thing look more happy. My artwork is an Easter egg on green paper. The top of it is orange, there are two horizontal pink lines with two eyes in between them, two pink circles for the cheeks, a blue jagged line, and five circles at the bottom. Four of the circles are red and the middle circle is black because it is the mouth. I cut out the egg and glued it on a yellow sheet of paper. Then I put Easter grass around the egg. I chose to draw an Easter egg because Easter was just last weekend. My limitation was to draw left-handed. My goal for the artwork was to make it look like a real Easter egg. I thought that my artwork was successful because the egg looks pretty realistic. My plan for this artwork is to make an Easter egg with flowers in the background. The limitation that I am doing is that I have to draw with my left hand. Other ideas I thought about were using only one color and using just one drawing utensil. My artwork is going good but I have to redo a lot of things because with my left hand I draw a lot more squiggly lines. Next I need to color my egg. |
